Confession: I’m one of those moms who still sends out real invitations to her kid’s birthday parties. I know, I know… going paperless would be so much easier (and, let’s be honest, cheaper) but I’ll never get tired of sending and receiving goodies in the mail.
So as you can image, I loooove holiday card season. I actually get kind of mad at my husband if he gets to check the mailbox before me.
I usually design and print our holiday cards myself through my professional lab (and yes, I make party invitations myself, too… I already told you, I’m totally that mom). But not this year! This was the first year I partnered up with the folks at Minted and man, I’m so in love with this company!
I fancy myself a decent designer, but the templates on Minted are absolutely amazing. And it’s no wonder, because the whole premise of the company is to showcase the work of independent artists from around the world. What better way to feature my photography work!?
So now I have my own storefront through Minted, which you can find here. I can show off my favorite designs and, after your session, I’m able to upload all of your images on the back end. This makes the process super simple for you: All you have to do is sign up for an account, log on, select your card, pick your favorite shots and wait for the shipping elves to drop your cards off at your doorstep!
I uploaded my address book and took advantage of their envelope addressing service, which was a huge time saver in the busy holiday season. They’ll even do your stamps and return addresses if you want.
Outside of the holiday (or new year) season, you might want to mail out birth announcements or a new address notice. They even have adorable thank you cards to send out after a birthday party!
I unboxed my holiday cards on camera because I was that excited to share them with you:
